My oldest daughter Breeana(11) started playing basketball this year. I never have been into sports. But just because I don't like sports doesn't mean I won't give my kids that chance. Even if I have to take them to practices and games. And sit and watch said games. But...guess what I love going to the games, I love watching her play, cheering her on. And something I would never think of myselg doing, yelling and jumping around. I never realized how excited people get about elementary school sports. Highschool and college yes, but not elementary. You know how you see these coaches yelling and acting like their going to kill the players and referees getting in fights with other referees and coaches. That happens in elementary sports also. Who would have thought.
On Monday night we won our first tournament game. Tonight we are going to the second. The team we are playing tonight is very hard, but I think the girls can do it. I'll let you know tomorrow how it goes.
Ok so I am the husband of the amazing woman you have been reading about. She wants me to comment but there is one problem with that i can't write and I have two left thumbs, so let me see if I can muddle through this. She is right when she references our kids, we try to be calm and constructive when we first start out but after you have rehashed the same thing over 400 times you would hope they would get it. And I am trying to learn,kind of off subject (my wife says I have rabbitt trails too!) I had a great meeting with my boss today and had to do with the different pesonality traits people have and how to sell to them. Sales its what i do seems like I have been doing it all my life...whatever i enjoy it and it pays the bills. So it all has to do with DISC Dominant, Influencer, Steady, Compliant and if you no who you are dealing with then your supposed to be able to communicate better. Well back to the point i see this as some life changing stuff here, if I can learn what personality my wife is my kids than i can comunicate better right sound like pretty good stuff! so i plan on doing some research on it and i will get back to you guys on what I find.
